The Town of Prescott Valley is seeking sculptors to be part of our very successful outdoor public art project – Art at the Center. Talented artists throughout the southwest region are invited to showcase their work which may be viewed by over 125,000 local Quad City residents and nearly 50,000 annual visitors to the Civic Center.
Submit this application to be juried by a committee for acceptance. Placement of the durable outdoor sculptures will occur at our prominent Civic Center campus from May, 2017 – April, 2018.
For works selected the Town of Prescott Valley will securely and effectively install them; maintain them during the course of the exhibit, making emergency repairs when necessary; and produce and distribute promotional materials.
Sculptures can be submitted “for sale”, or, for “not for sale” status. In the event that a piece is purchased, it must remain on display until end of the exhibition period. If purchased during the exhibit period, artists will remit to the Town a 20% commission (which will help fund the annual purchase of a piece from the exhibit for the Town permanent collection).
Artists certify that their works are original, were produced within the last five years, and that they are soundly constructed, suitable for outdoor display. All works must be able to attach securely to a durable steel base that will be welded or bolted to a concrete pedestal or sidewalk.
